For new and upgrader QuickBooks users, tips on the new features will display as shown in Figure 1. Click to minimize the tips, click to close the tips, or return the tips to the screen by selecting Help, What's New from the icon bar.

Voiding a partially applied Payables transaction in Dynamics GP

Periodically, questions arise as to how to void a partially applied Payables transaction in Dynamics GP. This is one area where the Payables module differs drastically from the Receivables module.

The issue is that when you go to void a partially applied Payables transaction you receive the following message:

Your only option here is to click OK. So is it possible to void a partially applied Payables transaction? The short answer is no.

How to Get Rid of the CEIP Task in GP

We've been asked the same question from a couple of our customers, so here it is... How to get rid of the Dynamics GP Task "Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP)" if you don't want to participate:

First, click on the task as if you are going to perform the task:

Once the task window opens, click on the "Name"

This will open the Customer Experience Improvement Program participation window:

Click No, then Click OK. Once you are back on the Task window, click Delete to remove the task:

Then close the task window to get back to the main GP window.

How to use the 1099 modified tool GP2010

1099 Modifier -This tool allows you to change documents to 1099 documents if you have incorrectly set up your vendors, or if you forgot to mark the 1099 vendor option on your vendor card for a year or a portion of the year. After marking the option, you can run this tool, which will mark all documents for that vendor as 1099 documents.

GP2013 Perpetual Licensing

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 is scheduled to be released at the end of 2012. The new release includes a new pricing model called Perpetual Licensing. Clients will be offered a Starter Pack and an Extended Pack - no more BRL Advanced Mgmt or BRL Business Essentials.
