Robert Milton Smith, CPA, CITP

Founder and Chief Solution Architect

Client focus and problem solving are part of eIS Business Solutions’ founder and CEO Robert Smith’s DNA. In 1991, Smith established Successful Software which would later become known as eIS Business Solutions, aiming to lead a new wave of business technology impact by working with owners, executives and employees of companies to implement realistic business solutions. While Smith oversees the direction of the company, he stays involved in many projects from a technical and operational standpoint. Smith’s career experience demonstrates his breadth and depth of industry knowledge. It includes working in client service for Merrill Lynch as well as serving as an accountant for a high-tech manufacturing firm. In later roles, he documented business processes and procedures for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and worked for Ernst & Young implementing microcomputer-based accounting systems. In addition, Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer programming and psychology, having also completed advanced studies in computer programming from Farleigh Dickinson and Monmouth Universities. In addition, Smith holds several Microsoft Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics – GP, CRM and other Microsoft Technologies. He is also a member of the national Certified Emergency Readiness Training Program (C.E.R.T), leads the Emergency Readiness Committee for his homeowner’s complex and volunteers his time for local charities.

Sean T. Furman

President, STF Consulting

Sean T. Furman, President, is the founder of STF Consulting and is recognized as a pioneer in the IT consulting community. Mr. Furman began his career in 1997 through small business consulting, and after achieving his MCSE certification in 2000, he quickly began to take on larger mid-sized clients growing STF to the consulting company it is today. His vision and passion for IT is apparent in his work and is reflected in the company's corporate culture. Mr. Furman is a MCSE in Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003. His background includes working with Microsoft technologies, Cisco Solutions, and many other vendors' solutions to network and manage a company's infrastructure. Mr. Furman has recently achieved his security specialization with Microsoft and is now working toward the new Microsoft Certified IT Professional certification on the Windows Server 2008 platform. The synergy between eIS Business Solutions and STF Consulting is extraordinary and their close relationship eliminates finger pointing between hardware and software vendors. Janice Caldwel

Senior Software Architect

Seasoned IT consultant Janice Caldwell is no stranger to the IT solutions world. In 2004, she joined eIS Business Solutions as senior software architect after more than two decades in the IT solutions business. Prior to eIS, she operated her own consulting company, primarily working with manufacturing companies by providing mid-range software solutions. Caldwell’s passion for IT consulting comes from threading together the business and technology worlds. Anyone who meets Caldwell can quickly see that she offers the special qualities it takes to get jobs done effectively and efficiently for eIS clients – her co-workers enthusiastically describe her as determined, conscientious and hard working. Outside of her job, she shares her IT knowledge with the greater community. In fact, Caldwell spent 20 years as a volunteer for a computer user group specializing in IT education for thousands of members worldwide. She focused on manufacturing and professional development, particularly project management. In her free time, Caldwell enjoys any challenge, including competing in triathlons, 5Ks, half marathons, road and mountain biking, kayak surfing and volunteering with charities.

Susan Gerber

CPA, Business Solutions Implementation Director

Susan Gerber, CPA is a pioneer at heart. As Business Solutions Implementation Director at eIS Business Solutions, Ms. Gerber has been with the company since its inception. With prior financial management experience at companies such as Tiffany & Co. and E&B Marine, in addition to public accounting experience with the “Big 8,” Ms. Gerber’s breadth of experience gives her a unique, client-focused perspective. In addition, she also has worked in manufacturing, retail, government, distribution and business operations. Ms. Gerber is conscientious, hard-working and detailed, and enjoys being a part of the growth process for our clients’ businesses. In her time off, Sue enjoys shopping, dancing, and lying on a sunny beach with friends, and is also a National award winner of classical music for piano.
